Paul Martinez

Paul Ray Martinez, 43, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 10, 2012, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God. The celebration of life will follow at 11, with Pastor Roy Edwards officiating.
Mr. Martinez was born on Dec. 23, 1968, in Phoenix. He served in the Air Force for six years, including in Operation Desert Storm. He worked for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for six years and served as a Casa Grande police officer for 10 years with honor and dignity. He was on the department's Honor Guard. He enjoyed playing softball and coaching his son's Little League team and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was devoted to his family.
Survivors include his wife, Laura M.; two sons, Paul R. Martinez Jr. of Eloy and Zachary M. Martinez of Casa Grande; two daughters, Taylor Miah of Casa Grande and Arilena M. Martinez of Eloy; his parents, Carlos Martinez of Arizona City and Dora Martinez of Mesa; a brother, Chris L. Martinez of Eloy; and a sister, Becky Ibarra of Mesa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Casa Grande Police Trust Fund.
