Paula Frances Rhodes

Paula Frances Rhodes, 59, of Sacaton died on Nov. 29, 2020, in Chandler, AZ. Paula was born on June 5, 1961 in Florence, AZ. To Angelita Thompson of Parker, AZ, and Francis Gordon Vavages of Sacaton. She attended Sacaton Presbyterian church and practiced in the traditional O’Odham ways. She Was a lifelong employee of Gila River Indian Community, serving in many departments. She made many friends in her life and had a laugh that was recognizable anywhere! She enjoyed traveling to rodeos and ropings. Attending her grandkids sporting events, helping family when she could. She loved her classic country music.
She is Survived by her 3 children: Dugan F. Rhodes, Justin H. Rhodes, Amy N. Rhodes, and their father Wesley Rhodes of Sacaton. 2 sisters; Edith Vavages of Sacaton, Laurie Crozier of Peach Springs. 2 brothers; Shawn Thompson of Parker, Gordon Vavages of Gresham, OR. And 10 grandchildren. She was Proceeded in death by her youngest son James W. Rhodes, brother Eugene Thompson, and Father Francis G. Vavages.
