CHUICHU — Pauline A. Rubio, 59, of ChuiChu died on April 3, 2010 at home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church by the Rev. Ignatius DeGroot. The wake will begin at 7 p.m. at the Rubio home. Burial will be at 6 a.m. Friday in South ChuiChu Cemetery.
Ms. Rubio was born on July 24, 1950 in Sacaton. She was an elementary school teaching assistant. She was a member of Once Upon a Time dance group and enjoyed dancing, arts and crafts, shopping and taking walks. She loved lilies and rain. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Rubio of ChuiChu; two daughters, Lynette Rubio of Queen Creek and Davina Rubio of North Komelik; six brothers, Willard, Harlan, Leander, Larry and Cecil Lewis, all of ChuiChu, and Harry Lewis of Tucson; three sisters, Letitia Garcia of Kohatk, Teresa Lewis of Arizona City and Deborah Lewis of ChuiChu; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Dorothy Lewis; a brother, Vernon Lewis; and a grandson, Zavier Ortiz.
