Pedro A. Procela, 83, of Casa Grande died on July 4, 2015, at Hospice of the Valley.
A private service was planned.
Mr. Procela was born on Sept. 28, 1931, in Oakville, Texas, and was a son of Fredrico and Felepi Procela. He was a farmworker and was devoted to his family and friends. He loved walking and hiking desert mountains and hunting. He was always helping people in need and rescued and adored his dogs, Cookie and Marilyn.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Betty Gunsten of Casa Grande, Maria Pena of Houston and Norma Purdue of Tacoma, Washington; four sons, Robert, John and Danny Guadian, all of San Diego, and Michael Purdue of St. Louis; three sisters, Susie Garcia of Picacho, Solia Nairanda and Rosa Procela of Eloy; three brothers, Alfred Procela of Eloy, Emilio Procela of Casa Grande and Edward Procela of Picacho; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, John Procela and Gilbert Guadian, and a sister, Emily Procela.
