Pedro Mendoza

Pedro Mendoza, 85, of Eloy died March 10, 2007 at home.

The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at his home. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in Ak-Chin Cemetery.

Mr. Mendoza was born Dec. 22, 1921 in Chandler and was a son of Raymond and Carmen Mendoza. He was a farmworker and was Catholic. He enjoyed walking in Eloy and dancing.

Survivors include five sons, Raul Mendoza of Holbrook, Richard Mendoza of Randolph, Joe, Juan and Larry Mendoza, all of Eloy; two daughters, Lucinda Mendoza and Julia Ibarra of Eloy; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie (Salcido) Mendoza; a son, Pancho Mendoza; a daughter, Sylvia Mendoza; three brothers, Enos, Lorenzo and Eugene Lopez; and a sister, Margaret Lucas.
