Perry Gilman "Bud" Jackson

SACATON - Perry Gilman "Bud" Jackson, 65, of Sacaton died on July 7, 2016, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.

Mr. Jackson was born on Sept. 26, 1950, in Sacaton to Edward C. and Barbara J. (Pratt) Jackson. He was genuine, loved the life he had and was a people person whose sense of humor and smile were contagious. He was very nurturing, had open arms for everyone and was known for saying "I stand fast" and "all righteous." He was influential in his community through his kind and helpful spirit.

Survivors include five children, Heather (Jackson) Antone, Si’Alig Jackson Sr., Dyami Jackson, Quentin Jackson and Little Star Jackson; five sisters, Eileen Kyyitan, Edena Jackson, Anna Gonzalez, Celia Jackson and Marla Jackson; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charleton Jackson; and two grandsons, Joel Antone and Blaze Jackson.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Gila River Governance Center. A wake will follow from 6 to 10 at the District 3 Service Center. The funeral will be at 6 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.
