**In Loving Memory of Petra S. Calvillo**

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Petra S. Calvillo, who left us at the age of 88 on January 3, 2025. Petra was born on November 26, 1936, to Juan and Juans Salazar, and from that moment, she began a journey filled with love and kindness that would touch the lives of many.

Petra was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose spirit shone bright during family gatherings. Her heart overflowed with affection for her grandchildren, and her unwavering support was a constant source of strength for her family and friends. Known lovingly as the caregiver of the family, Petra exemplified selflessness; she was always there to lend a hand or offer a comforting word to anyone in need. Her giving nature and nurturing soul will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

She is reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Pablo Calvillo, her first husband Amado Martinez, and their beloved son Tony Martinez, all of whom she cherished deeply.

Petra leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by her children Amado, Sammy, Eluterio “Terry,” Carmen, and Lupe Martinez. Her spirit continues to live on through her twenty grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren, as well as her dear brothers, Jose and Frank Salazar.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM, followed by the recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM at Valley Chapel in Eloy. On Wednesday, January 15, a Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Eloy Memorial Park.
