STOTONIC - Philbert Paul Makil Sr., 65, of Stotonic died on Nov. 23, 2016.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Peter feast house in Bapchule. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Makil was born on Aug. 8, 1951, in Bapchule to Augustine and Delphine Makil. His family meant the world to him and he was motivated by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was very social and loved to have a good time.
An avid basketball fan, he always had a game on. He was a talented artist who loved playing guitar, drawing and carving kachina dolls.
Survivors include 10 daughters and sons, Paulita and Palmer Lomakema, Lawrence Makil, Daniel Scoffer, Philbert Makil Jr., Dianna and Lorenzo Makil, Raymond Pablo Sr., Carrie and Angelina Makil; five brothers, Augustine Makil Jr., Benedict Makil Sr., Mario Makil Sr., Simon and Elmer Makil; four sisters, Elizabeth Ortega, Annette Makil, Connie Rossel and Mary Garcia; 34 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elouise Pablo; three brothers, Thomas Makil Sr., Richard and Delmer Makil; two sisters, Rita Valencia and Alexcine Roy; and three grandchildren, Sierra and Baby Boy Francisco Makil and Esperanza Ramirez.
