Phyllis Rae Burns, 70, of Casa Grande died on July 19, 2012, at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix.
The celebration of life will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Darwin Chandler officiating.
Mrs. Burns was born on May 16, 1942, in Neosho, Mo., and was a daughter of Ernest Black and Thelma Cooper. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and music. She also enjoyed riding Harley-Davidsons, which is how she met her husband of 55 years, Jerry E. She raised Appaloosa horses and loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Debra Dudash and Angela Steele of Casa Grande; two sons, Wayne Burns of Artesia, N.M., and Bruce Burns of Marana; two sisters; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
