Phyllis Jo Tipton

ELOY - Phyllis Jo Tipton, 77, died on March 12, 2018, in Casa Grande.

Mrs. Tipton was born on Oct. 25, 1940, in Atlanta to Willie and Nellie McDaniel. She worked at what is now Banner Casa Grande Medical Center for 30 years.

She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and going to church and yard sales. She also loved spending time in her garden caring for her rose bushes. She enjoyed cooking and was well known for her delicious chocolate cake.

She is survived by five adult children, Randy Tipton of Eloy, Neace Tipton of Coolidge, Rocky and Robert Tipton of Arizona City and Relena Hampton of Chandler; a sister, Eyvonne Braun of Portland, Oregon; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.T.; three sisters, Charleen Foster, Nedra Schillereff and Georgia McDaniel; a grandson, Ramsey Tipton; and two great-grandchildren, Mollie and Corey Tipton.

Visitation beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 19, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel, with funeral at 10. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park and reception at 4065 N. Turquoise Drive in Toltec.
