SACATON - Priscilla R. Anderson, 85, of Sacaton, who inspired her family and others, died peacefully on July 31, 2016.
Mrs. Anderson was born on Dec. 15, 1930, in Sacaton to Anton and Jessie Pancott. Her passion was working at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center from 1975 to 2000 in the newborn unit, and she loved newborns. She was a staunch patriot and volunteer and a founding member of the Ira H. Hayes American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Blue Star Mother with four stars reflecting 76 years of family military service.
She loved her pets Angie and Trouble. She had many hobbies and was always looking for the next sewing or art project. She loved cooking, engaged in senior games and was a big Suns fan. She loved Steve Nash’s court moves and wrestler Hulk Hogan in his heyday. She left a legacy of pride, commitment, loyalty, love and grace.
Survivors include six sons and daughters, Gary L. Anderson Sr. of Maricopa, Priscilla Woods of Modesto, California, Lawanda Pablo of Sacaton, Charles Anderson Jr. of Mesa, David Anderson of Sacaton and Vanessa Anderson of Sacaton; 26 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Anderson Sr.; brothers; sisters; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be early Saturday in District 2 Presbyterian Cemetery.
