CASA GRANDE - Quincie Dell Tyler, 68, of Phoenix died on Dec. 22, 2015, at home.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fountains of Living Water Church in Casa Grande. The funeral will follow at 11, with Pastor Karen DuFour officiating.
Mrs. Tyler was born on March 12, 1947, in Eloy to Lucille and Henry B. Williams Sr. Raised in Eloy, she had 14 brothers and sisters. In 1977 she became a member of Westside Church of God in Christ and faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member and program coordinator. In 2007 she became a member of Liberty Tabernacle Ministries. She was appointed church mother and was a faithful member until her death.
A group home caregiver, she was a loving, caring and giving woman and gave to many children in her neighborhood. She always had an extra plate on her table for whomever dropped in and treated everyone as family. Known affectionately as "Granny" by many, she always looked out for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Tyler; two brothers, James and Henry Williams Jr.; a sister, Lucy Cade; and a grandson, Cassius Clay Horne Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Tina Williams and LaTonya Horne of Phoenix; three sons, Jerry Horne Jr., Cassius and Anthony Horne, all of Phoenix; six sisters, Lois Riley and Mervelene McGary of Phoenix, Kathryn Jones of Chandler, Louise White of Casa Grande, Mabelene White and Mary Williams of Eloy; five brothers, Earthy WIlliams Sr. and Richard Williams of Eloy, Ayron Williams Sr. of Phoenix, Bennie Williams of Arizona City and Dan Williams of Phoenix; 37 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
