ELOY - Raul Belloc Sr., 92, a longtime businessman, died on Sept. 29, 2017, in Eloy.
Mr. Belloc was born on Oct. 6, 1924, to Pedro and Cecilia Belloc in Ruidosa, Texas. He was a business owner for 70 years and worked in agriculture in several states.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A member of St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church and part of the Cursillo Movement, he had a big heart and helped fund many orphanages in Mexico.
Survivors include nine sons and daughters, Mayor Joel G. Belloc, Oralia B. Leyva, Sara G. Belloc, Raul G. Belloc Jr., all of Eloy, Delsa G. Belloc of Avondale, Abram G., Umberto G., Jaime G. and Sylvia G. Belloc, all of Eloy; three siblings, Cristobal Belloc Sr. of Eloy, Pedro Belloc Sr. of Midland, Texas, and Eulalia Ortega of Eloy; 30 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life for 66 years, Angelica G.; a son, Albert G. Belloc; and two siblings, Felipe Belloc and Maria Jesus Garcia.
Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass celebrated there at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park.
