Ray Lee Stephenson, 85, of Casa Grande died on August 28, 2020. Mr. Stephenson was born on August 4, 1935, in Lewis, Colorado to Russell and Marjorie Stephenson. He proudly served in the Army and the Arizona National Guard. He was an underground miner for 40 years and worked for the Magma and BHP mining companies in San Manuel. He formerly lived in Mammoth. He was known for his sense of humor and his ability to tell stories and jokes.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Stephenson of Winkleman; a brother Charles Stephenson of Casa Grande; five sisters, Evelyn McWhirter and Barbara Ostler of Casa Grande, Juanita Tellez of Phoenix, Delpha Anderson of Tonopah and Sherry Clutter of Casa Grande; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Ann and Marcie Stephenson; a son, Frank Stephenson; two brothers, Clyde and Claude E. Stephenson and a sister Marjorie Brattain.
