Long time Casa Grande resident and businessman of 50 years, Raymond H. Fagerberg died September 5, 2009 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Mr. Fagerberg was born December 18, 1930 in Salina, Kansas and was the only child of C.R. and Gladys Fagerberg. Raymond served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict for two years and upon his return home in 1953, met and married Nora Walsh.
Raymond and Nora were married for 55 years. In 1959, Raymond’s love of the desert resulted in his moving his family to Casa Grande where he and his father C.R. established their business, Fagerberg Alignment and Brake.
Raymond is survived by his wife Nora and five children; Trisha (Michael) Ridge of Casa Grande, Brian (Val) Fagerberg of Casa Grande, Paul (Lisa) Fagerberg of Gilbert, Barbara (Ric) Chaudoin of Queen Creek and Julie Fagerberg of San Diego; five grandchildren, Johnny, Summer, Scott, Nina and Lola and three great-grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Raymond Fearn.
Rosary will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at J. Warren Funeral Services, The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Father Kevin Clinch will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Casa Grande.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
