COOLIDGE — Raymond D. Rojas, 76, of Coolidge died on July 3, 2012, in Casa Grande.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. today at Indian Assembly of God. The funeral there will follow at 9, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park.
Mr. Rojas was born on May 2, 1936, in Phoenix and was a son of Pedro and Alulia Rojas. He was a farmworker and also a musician known for his talent in singing and playing guitar. He was friendly, kind and loving.
He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and often gave trinkets he had made to family members. He was a hardworking, Christian man who served the Lord with praise and singing. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially the young children.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Martha; two daughters, Anna Garcia of Coolidge and Rosie Rojas of Tucson; two sons, Joe Rojas of Coolidge and George Rojas of Tucson; three sisters, Alicia Benavides and Esabra Rojas of Phoenix and Mary Lou Vasquez of Coolidge; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Placido Rojas, and two sisters, Teresa Romero and Trini Bueno.
