Raymond Tyrone Powers

MARICOPA - Raymond Tyrone Powers, 76, of Maricopa died on June 29, 2016, at home.

Mr. Powers was born on April 7, 1940, in Cleveland and was a son of James Powers Sr. and Julia Washington. He was an outspoken man but was always kindhearted, ambitious and loving. His sense of humor brought smiles to many, and he was highly dedicated to his family and career.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda; three sons and a daughter, Raymond Powers Jr., Paula, Anthony and James Powers; two brothers, Edward and Gregory Washington; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Brenda Reid, Beverly Simpson and James Powers Jr., and a son, David Powers.

A private service will be held later in Cleveland.
