Reginald "Reggie" Nelson

STOTONIC - Reginald Thomas "Reggie" Nelson, 54, died on March 2, 2014, in Sacaton.

The wake service will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the District 4 Service Center. The funeral will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Stotonic Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in North Stotonic Cemetery.

Mr. Nelson was born on March 14, 1959, in Sacaton. Upon graduating from high school he immediately enlisted in the Marine Corps. He later worked for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Facilities Maintenance, for 18 years as a plumber.

In his younger years he loved riding his Harley-Davidson. He was a family man and proud of his children and grandchildren. His grandson Azul was the apple of his eye.

Survivors include two daughters, Nicole and Nicholette Nelson; a son, Anthony Escalante; a sister, Belinda Nelson; a brother, Burnham "Vern" Cawker; and seven grandchildren.
