Reynaldo Aguilar Nevarez

Reynaldo Aguilar Nevarez, 76, of Casa Grande died Oct. 14, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.


Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 11. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. by the Rev. Kevin Clinch. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Casa Grande.

Mr. Nevarez was born to Olivia Aguilar Nevarez and Guadalupe Nevarez in Corpus Cristi, Texas. He married Dora N. Nevarez on Sept. 1, 1954, served in the U.S. Army and worked in construction. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He liked dining out, traveling, going to the casino and talking with everyone.

Surivors include Dora, his wife of 54 years; one son, Ray Nevarez Jr. of Casa Grande; three daughters, Norma Tarango of Casa Grande, Dora Perez of Casa Grande and Diana Perez of Phoenix; one sister, Rufugia Yubeta of Casa Grande; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Rodriguez and Maria Tejada.
