Richard Arthur Mathis,

Richard Arthur Mathis Jr., 69, of Casa Grande died Aug. 23, 2009 at St. Joseph?s Hospital & Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 7.

Mr. Mathis was born Feb. 27, 1940 in Santa Monica, Calif., and was a son of Margaret and Richard A. Mathis Sr. He was a Navy veteran and a truck driver for Frito-Lay Inc. He was an Elk and loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was devoted to his family.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; three daughters, Cindy Woodson of Kansas City, Kan., Jackie Cheney of Lake Isabel, Calif., and Debbie Groff of Phoenix; a stepson, Brandon Meyers of Billings, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
