Richard E. "Rick" Villegas

ARIZONA CITY - Richard E. "Rick" Villegas, 71, died on June 4, 2019, in Tucson.

Mr. Villegas graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis in 1967 after winning two Marion County wrestling championships. He served honorably in the Navy, including in the Vietnam War. He was active in the American Legion, Patriot Guard Riders and Arizona City Moose Lodge, where he enjoyed volunteering for charitable veterans events.

He had a long career with Yellow Freight in Indianapolis and retired in 2005. He lived a very unselfish life, giving to many and expecting nothing in return.

Survivors include his mother, Dominga Villegas; four siblings, Robert Villegas Jr., John Villegas, Cynthia Villegas and Michelle Villegas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Villegas Sr., and two sisters, Irene Villegas-Mills and Debbie Villegas.
