MARICOPA - Richard John Oliver, 53, of Maricopa died on Aug. 6, 2014, at home.
The celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Maricopa 1st Ward, with Bishop Eric Brower officiating.
Mr. Oliver was born on June 12, 1961, in Phoenix. He was an auto mechanic and was devoted to his family, loving each of his children and grandchildren in a special way, and loved his wife unconditionally. He was a man of God.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Lenora A.; four daughters, Betty Oliver, Iona Soto and Cathryn Oliver-Leyva, all of Maricopa, and Ricki Oliver of Casa Grande; three sons, Richard Oliver Jr. of Casa Grande, Oscar Oliver of Maricopa and Carl Dunaway of Ohio; a sister, Donnalee Baca of Texas; two brothers, Gary Oliver of Texas and Rick Pool of Phoenix; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard F. and Iona M. Meyers Oliver, and a sister, Pauline Oliver.
