Richard Dale Packard, 68, of Coolidge, died February 4, 2022, at home. He was born October 3, 1953, in Nicodemus, Kansas. Richard was a Veteran and proud of his 20 plus years of service. Coming from four generations of Buffalo Soldiers and was a sharpshooter. He was very artistic, making jewelry and canes. Never asking for anything in return, Richard would help anyone who needed it. Even if never asked, once he saw someone who needed help, he would jump right in. No matter what you were going through or who you were, Richard always treated you with respect and unconditional love. He loved to tell his stories. He had so many, and you would lose track of time, just listening to him. You could always catch him in his hat, he never went anywhere without it. He will be forever loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing this great man. He will never know how much he meant to the friends he surrounded himself by and called his family.
He is survived by his companion Shimire Jeffries and many friends who consider him family.
