CASA GRANDE - Richard Earl "Rich" McQuillen, 75, of Casa Grande died peacefully on May 19, 2016, at home.
Mr. McQuillen was born on Jan. 7, 1941, in Sabetha, Kansas, to Earl L. McQuillen and Betty J. Deaver. He graduated from Sabetha High School in 1959 and lived in Sabetha, Kermit, Texas, Yuma and Casa Grande.
He worked for Central Arizona College and Arizona Western College as an adviser and counselor. He also was one of the original board members of Pinal Alcohol & Drug Abuse Corp., which was later named Behavioral Health Agency of Central Arizona and is now known as Horizon Human Services. He was devoted to his family and loved selflessly and unconditionally.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Richard E. "Richie" McQuillen Jr. of Casa Grande, Brian McQuillen of Glendale, Meghan McQuillen of Gilbert and Devon (McQuillen) Harrell-Winkler of Sabetha; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Sue (McQuillen) Scott.
A celebration of life will be held at the home of Meghan McQuillen on Saturday.
