Richard "Ricky" Moreno Jr., 32, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 2, 2014, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center, with his family by his side.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Fountains of Living Water Church. The funeral will follow at 10, with Pastor Josh Ibarra officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Moreno was born on Oct. 24, 1981, in Tucson. He was a hotel cook, a hard worker and a Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Wildcats fan. He loved to make people laugh, always had a smile on his face and was the life of the party. He loved listening to music and dancing "old school."
He loved his family and his Mustang and kept in touch with his friends, inviting people wherever he went. He loved taking his kids to the park and had nicknames for everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Francisca; two daughters, Jenna Moreno of Bloomington, Indiana, and Karizma Moreno of Casa Grande; two sons, Richard Moreno III and Nicholas Moreno of Casa Grande; his father, Richard Moreno Sr. of Tucson; his mother, Cynthia Gastelum of Casa Grande; his stepfather, Andy Moreno of Casa Grande; two sisters, Celeste Moreno of Casa Grande and Carrie Braschler of Tucson; two brothers, Frank and Paul Gonzales of Casa Grande; a stepsister, Cassandra Gonzales of Tucson; two stepbrothers, Javier Moreno of San Diego and Carlos Moreno of Tucson; and his grandfather Mike Juvera of Tucson and grandmother Frances Gastelum of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank Gastelum, Alice Juvera and Ernest Moreno.
