Richard John Sowden

Richard John Sowden, born on April 5, 1965, in Ishpeming MI peacefully passed away on July 20, 2024 in Eloy AZ.

Richard led a life full of honor and service. He spent the majority of his years residing in Almont MI before answering the call to serve his country. Richard proudly served as a Sergeant in the US Army and was also a dedicated member of the National Guards. His commitment to protecting and serving others will always be remembered.

Apart from his military service, Richard had many passions that brought joy to his life. His hobbies included reading, singing, and playing music on his guitar. He also pursued higher education at the University of Michigan and achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.

Richard Sowden was a compassionate soul who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity. He leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Richard is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Patricia Sowden. He is survived by his brothers, Jesse A Sowden and Joe Sowden, as well as his father, David Sowden.
