Richard Velasco

SANTA CRUZ VILLAGE - Richard Velasco, 62, died July 10, 2008.


Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Velasco home in Charco 27 Village. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. at Santa Cruz Catholic Mission by the Rev. Tom Frost. Rosary will be recited at 8. Burial will be at 5 a.m. Saturday in Charco 27 Cemetery.

Mr. Velasco was born May 23, 1946 in Quit Tovac, Mexico, and was a son of Thomas Velasco and Mary Antonio Salazar. He was a farmer. He enjoyed working on cars, contributing to the community feast in October and doing things for his family and friends.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth Velasco of Charco 27 and Theresa Trejo of Ajo.
