Rita Valencia

BAPCHULE — Rita Ann Valencia, 72, died on May 10, 2011, at Caring House in Sacaton.
Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Peter feast house, with the wake beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Ms. Valencia was born on Nov. 22, 1938, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Augustine Makil Sr. and Delphine Patrick. She was a nursing assistant and worked in the medical field for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing sports, especially softball. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and raised Victor and Greg Molina.
Survivors include a sister, Connie Rossell of California, and five brothers, Thomas Makil of Casa Blanca, Augustine Makil of Glendale, Philbert and Mario Makil of Bapchule and Benedict Makil Sr. of Salt River. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alexine Roy.
