Rita Voss

ELOY - Rita Ybarra Voss, 77, of Eloy died on Dec. 23, 2013.

Visitation will begin at noon on Monday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 1. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia.

Mrs. Voss was born on March 11, 1936, in Scottsdale to Griselda and Daniel Ybarra. She married RV Voss on March 15, 1969, in Winterhaven, Calif. She loved children and cared for many local children for several years in addition to being an accomplished seamstress, leading a Girl Scout troop, exploring state parks with her family and volunteering at her church. She also loved to give those closest to her a good pinch every so often.

She was preceded in death by her husband; six siblings, Manuel Ybarra, Martha Garcia, Felicita and Emiliano Ybarra, Maria Garcia and Natalia Ybarra; a daughter, Sharon Canamore; and a great-granddaughter, Autumn Voss. She is survived by seven sons and daughters, Richard and Rojelio Voss, Marinda Anthony, Cecilia Morris, Judee Quinones, Anita Estrada and Marcos Voss; two sisters and a brother, Mary Helen Ruiz, Margaret Espinoza and Tony Ybarra; 27 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
