Robert John Shuster, 60, passed away on September 23, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona following a brief illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rob was born in Rushville, Nebraska on January 27, 1964 to parents John and Janice Shuster. He grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. Rob graduated from Laramie High School with the class of 1982. He attended the University of Wyoming, where he received a Bachelor’s in Business Management in 1986.

While attending college, he met the love of his life, Lori (Hare), and they were married on January 4, 1986. During their nearly 40 years of marriage they had two children, Kaleigh Marie and Joshua Robert. Lori and Rob made Casa Grande, Arizona their home in 1998.

Music was always a big part of Rob’s life. During high school and college, he toured with the Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. Rob was an avid drummer and played in the University of Wyoming jazz and marching bands. He also used his God-given talents by playing in the Covenant Church praise band. Rob had a passion for woodworking and building CNC machines. He created many intricate, one-of-a-kind wooden drums and enjoyed telling others about his craft through YouTube videos. Rob enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, yard work, and traveling with family. He loved every minute of being a “Papa” during his grandson, Ian’s, first year of life.

For the past 14 years Rob was employed in the IT department of Pinal County.

Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, John Shuster (Laramie, WY).

Those left to mourn his loss are his loving wife, Lori; daughter, Kaleigh (Colin) Foster and grandson, Ian of Austin, TX; son, Josh of Tempe, AZ; mother, Janice of Laramie, WY; father- and mother-in-law, Leroy and Janet Hare of North Platte, NE; sister, Gwen (Mark) Shuster-Haynes of Denver, CO; brothers, Lowell (Rose) of Kent, WA and Bryan (Pam) of Laramie, WY; sister-in-law, Lisa (James) Bocott of North Platte, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
