Robert "Bob" Johnson

Robert Michael "Bob" Johnson, 87, of Casa Grande died on March 7, 2015, in Casa Grande.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2, with Pastor Timothy Green officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born on June 27, 1927, in Girard, Kansas, and was a son of Cecil and Marie Johnson. The family moved to Denver in 1934. He served in the Air Force as a B-36 bomber crew chief and was honorably discharged in 1956.

He later was an auto mechanic. He and his wife of 59 years, Dorothy, traveled the world together, visiting some 40 countries. They moved to Casa Grande in 2006.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Bill Johnson of Maricopa; a daughter, Pam Lajoie of Grand Junction, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Robert Johnson II, and two daughters, Jill Johnson and Karen Combs.
