COOLIDGE - Robert Calvin Kitt, 66, of Coolidge died on Feb. 26, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Mr. Kitt was born on Dec. 7, 1949, in the District of Columbia and was a son of James and Addie Kitt. He had a career in the Army and received two Purple Heart Medals among other honors. He was a hardworking man who provided for his family, gave good advice, told good stories and was straightforward.
He enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his fiancee and family, especially his grandchildren. He loved fishing and cooking.
Survivors include his fiancee, Shanell Bishop; two sons, Robert Kitt Jr. of Coolidge and Robert C. Davis of Boston; three daughters, Michico Kitt of Cincinnati, Chermaine Kitt of Casa Grande and Jamila Kitt of Cincinati; a stepson, David Goins of Cincinnati; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lorenzo, Telifead and James Kitt Jr.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. The celebration of life will follow at 2, with military honors and Pastor Richard Wright officiating.
