STOTONIC - Robert Dewitt Johns Jr., 58, died April 7, 2009 at Trillium Specialty Hospital in Mesa.


The wake will begin at 6 p.m. today at the family home in Stotonic, with all choirs welcome. The graveside service will be at 7 a.m. Saturday in Stotonic Cemetery, with Dean Howard officiating.

Mr. Johns was born March 1, 1951 in Sacaton. He served two years as a missionary in South Dakota for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a driver for Valley Metro. He loved his cats, family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra J. Blackwater; two sons, Robert Ben and Aaron Blackwater; a brother, Marvin Johns; three sisters, Donna, Phyllis and Peggy Johns; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. Johns Sr. and Jeanette Lewis; a daughter, Winona Casie; a son, Robert D. Johns III; and a brother, Leonard Johns.
