Robert Forbis, 85, of Casa Grande died on March 25, 2013, at home.
The celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glad Tidings Church, with Pastor Roy Edwards officiating.
Mr. Forbis was born on Jan. 9, 1928, in Pampa, Texas, and was a son of Paul V. Forbis and Dema M. Ward. He was a gas company mechanic and loved to go camping and rock hunting. He also loved playing horseshoes, playing jokes on his family and watching John Wayne movies. He was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bobbie A.; two sons, Jimmie Forbis of Casa Grande and John Forbis of Gilbert; two daughters, Patricia King of Durango, Colo., and Martha Pearce of Lake Havasu City; two brothers, Alden Forbau and Gifford McGinty of Roswell, N.M.; a sister, Carolina Griffith of Roswell; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Schronk, and a sister, Opal Russell.
