Robert Ramirez Sr.

SANTAN - Robert Ramirez Sr., 58, died on Oct. 28, 2018, in Santan.

Mr. Ramirez was born on July 3, 1960, in Fabens, Texas, to Jose Ramirez Sr. and Norma Parsons. He loved spending time with his family.

He did farm work in his younger years. In 1996 he started working as a planning and zoning surveyor. In 2009 he went to work at the transportation department, where he retired in 2018. He was devoted to his family and a hardworking man. He enjoyed collecting CDs and loved music and fishing. He received an award for working for the Gila River Indian Community for more than 20 years.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Cindy; six sons and daughters, Robert Ramirez Jr., Roberta Ramirez, Lamberta Aleman, Augustine, Rasta and Reese Ramirez; 10 siblings, Jose Ramirez Jr., Richard Parsons, Reynold, Salvador, Norman and Michelle Ramirez, Gloria Holguin, Josephine and Maria Ramirez and Sandra Pardonnet; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.

Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the District 4 Service Center. Funeral at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Lower Santan Church, with burial in Lower Santan Cemetery.
