SACATON - Roberto Valencia, 92, died on Aug. 16, 2015, at Caring House.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Mission in Santan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 9 a.m. Friday by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Valencia was born on Aug. 11, 1923, in Sacaton. He served in the Army and was a farmworker. He was Catholic and liked riding horses and spending time with animals. He loved gardening.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Valencia of Phoenix; four daughters; a brother, Eugene Ruiz of Chandler; three sisters, Frances Gonzales of Queen Creek, Socorro Moreno and Geneva Silva of Chandler; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
