Robyn Joan Elliott (affectionately known as Robbie), age 66, of Maricopa, AZ, passed away on June 16, 2024. Born on December 13, 1957, in The Bronx, New York, here is where she spent her childhood and eventually raised her children. Robyn led a vibrant and full life dedicated to her family, her passions, and her friends.
Robyn moved to Arizona 23 years ago, where she immersed herself into the southwestern culture. Prior to settling in Arizona, she lived in Washington, D.C., for seven years.
Robyn was a woman of many interests and talents. She found joy in writing short stories and poems, listening to music, decorating her home, and cultivating a beautiful garden. Her hands were rarely still, often busy with knitting projects or delving into the latest health trends. Earning a Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona, she valued education highly and loved sharing the importance of knowledge and creativity. Robyn was also the cherished family historian, collecting the stories and memories of previous generations. Above all her first love was being a grandmother.
Robyn is survived by her two loving children, Anthony Wallace and (Angel) Sha-Kyra Jenkins, and her seven beloved grandchildren: Jaylin Wallace, Jayson Bowen, Leilani Wallace, Thasia Wallace, Anthony Wallace, Swan Jenkins, and Trinity Wallace. She also leaves behind one great-grandson, Julien Bowen. Robyn's family was the center of her world, and her legacy of love and dedication will continue through them.
She is also survived by her siblings: Jerry, Dawn, Tony, Jacy, Timmy, Tracy, Amy, Jamie, Gwen, Barry, and Jonathan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Joan Elliott, her brother, Gayle Elliott, and her niece, Khaliah Crockwell.
On June 29th there will be a family celebratory luncheon followed by a memorial gathering at the Wallace family home.
Robyn Joan Elliott will be remembered for her warm spirit, her creative soul, and her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
“I am blessed to be alive and alert
I am blessed by these realizations
I worry about the wrong things and miss the blessings / No more
I am blessed by my ability to write
Negativity does not exist in my life
Yes, must be used sparingly and no must replace yes when necessary to my sanity
I love me
I love life
I love universal energy
I love selflessly and without ceasing
I love my wonderful, beautiful family
I love/”
