SANTAN - Roderick Michael Innis, 68, of Santan died on July 18, 2018, in hospice, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Innis was a son of Florence and John Innis. He enlisted in the Marine Corps when he was 19 and often could be heard saying the motto, "Semper Fi!" He loved music and began playing guitar at age 12. He continued to practice blues riffs.

He was a loyal Suns, Diamondbacks and Cardinals fan. He worked as a welder in the Valley, including on Chase Field. He was devoted to his family and a friend to everyone.

Survivors include a son, Michael Innis; two daughters, Melissa Tennant and Jessica Althouse; the mother of his children, Emma Innis; three siblings, Guy, Victoria and Julius Innis; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gilbert and Bennett Innis; and a sister, Louella Carpio.

Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 27, at the District 7 Service Center. Burial at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, in Pee Posh Cemetery.
