Rodney R. Antone Sr., aged 75, of Sacaton, peacefully passed away on May 22, 2024. Born on April 23, 1949, in Sacaton to Jose and Gladys Antone, Rodney led a fulfilling life surrounded by his loved ones.
Rodney had a passion for fishing, watching boxing matches, and tinkering with cars. His culinary delights included a love for chili beans and anything spicy, accompanied by a refreshing Coca Cola. Known for his storytelling abilities, he cherished sharing his life experiences with those around him. Above all else, Rodney adored his grandchildren whom he took an active role in raising.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters and son: Melanie Sundust, Brenda Antone, Vanessa Jackson, Blessing Antone and Benjamin Antone; along with his siblings: Eldon Antone, Marsha Pedro, and Maxine Francisco. Additionally, Rodney is survived by 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Rodney was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol Antone, his son Rodney Antone Jr., his parents Jose and Gladys Antone, and siblings Willard Antone Sr., Gilbert Antone Sr., Charlotte Martinez, Joella Scott, Tonya Molina, Barone Antone Sr., and Spencer Antone.
In the hearts of those who knew him best, Rodney will forever be remembered as a good man who was deeply cherished. His presence will be dearly missed but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
