Rodney Richard Casteel

FLORENCE ? Rodney Richard Casteel, 75, of Florence died Aug. 20, 2009 in Gilbert.

A private service was planned.

Mr. Casteel was born in Santa Monica, Calif. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and later was a trucking dispatcher.

He was an avid sports fan and loved to play poker. He was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed Hispanic culture and music.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Tilly G.; three sons, Rodney R. Casteel Jr. of Florence, Anthony Casteel of Tucson and James Casteel of Los Angeles; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
