Rogers Clelan Wallis Jr., 59, of Casa Grande died March 29, 2007 at home.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
Mr. Wallis was born Nov. 28, 1947 in Ardmore, Okla. He served in the Navy and Marine Corps and retired in 1989 as a staff sergeant. He was active in the San Bernardino County Search and Rescue team and a volunteer firefighter in Daggett, Calif., while serving in the Marine Corps. He later worked as a deputy for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for 16 years. His family care givers included daughters-in-law Eva and Louisa Wallis.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Kathleen "Kathy" (Fisher); two sons, Wesley Wallis of Houston and Rogers Wallis III of Rio Rancho, N.M.; his mother, Ruby of Denison, Texas; a brother, Ray Wallis of Pottsboro, Texas; two sisters, Sandra Massa of Denison and Susan Green of Houston; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Rogers Wallis Sr.
