Romelia Avilez

ELOY — Romelia Avilez, 84, of Eloy died on March 2, 2013, at Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 11:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon by the Rev. Juan Carlos Aguirre. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mrs. Avilez was born on July 29, 1928, in Chandler. She was a homemaker and also worked for 12 years at Thomson Co.'s plant. She later worked at Taqueria. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed shopping, going to church and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Pablo Avilez Sr.; two sons, Paul Avilez Jr. and David Avilez of Eloy; five daughters, Eva Gonzalez, Mary Helen Gonzalez, Sylvia De La Cerda, Juanita Avilez, all of Eloy, and Angie Rodriguez of Casa Grande; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
