Ronald Marvin Blackwater

SACATON — Ronald Marvin Blackwater, 40, died Sept. 24, 2009 in Sacaton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Blackwater home. The funeral will be at 5 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Sacaton. Burial will be in East Sacaton Cemetery.

Mr. Blackwater was born Sept. 23, 1969 in Sacaton. He was a refrigeration technician and played bass guitar with the group Chad & Co. His hobbies were cooking, basketball, making Indian jewelry and writing music.

Survivors include a daughter, Emerrel Blackwater of Sacaton; two sons, Derick Gishey of Mesa and Bannon B. Blackwater of Sacaton; his parents, Renalda Blackwater of Phoenix and Floyd Namingha of Second Mesa; and a sister, Felicia Namingha of Second Mesa.
