Ronald Eugene “Ron” Ransdell, 70, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 10, 2011, at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix.
The celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with Darwin Chandler officiating.
Mr. Ransdell was born on Jan. 9, 1941, in Montrose, Colo., and was a son of Ronald W. and Geraldine G. Ransdell. He graduated from the University of Colorado and was a staunch Colorado Buffaloes fan throughout his life. He was a pharmacist and owned a pharmacy. He was an avid historian and enjoyed sharing the history of places he lived, visiting with anyone who would listen. He became known as a good tour guide and people looked forward to his tours followed by a great story. He loved spending time with his two grandsons and often had a story to share with them.
Survivors include his wife, Anna May; a daughter, Jennifer Reynolds of Chandler; a son, Michael Ransdell of Chandler; and two grandsons.
