Rosalinda Garcia

Rosalinda Garcia, 62, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 23, 2011, at Hospice Family Care.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Garcia was born on Dec. 18, 1948, in Casa Grande and raised in Stanfield. She worked for Head Start for 31 years and was a troubleshooter when issues needed to be addressed. She was an assistant site manager and was instrumental in implementing guidelines currently used in the program. She always enjoyed doing the paperwork and reports and was a member of National Association for the Education of Young Children.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church. She and her husband enjoyed visiting casinos and seeing Arizona.
Survivors include her husband, Ramon H.; two daughters, Kathy Johnson of Mesa and Belen Mayers of Laveen; a son, Pilar Garcia of Laveen; her mother, Margarita T. Perez of Casa Grande; seven sisters, Antonia P. Perez of Casa Grande, Gloria Garcia of Glendale, Marta Almodova of Tucson, Margarita Leyvas of Casa Grande, Nina Sanchez of Sierra Vista, Ana Rodriguez of Casa Grande and Terri Rangel of Phoenix; three brothers, Andres and Antonio Perez Jr. of Phoenix and Arturo Perez of Peoria; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Perez Sr.
