Rose Ann Balander

Rose Ann Balander, 87, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 16, 2013, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held in November at Danville (Va.) National Cemetery.
Mrs. Balander was born on March 1, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She married in 1950 and moved to Seaford, N.Y. She was a homemaker. After her husband retired they moved to Roanoke, Va., in 1985, and she and her husband operated a booth in the Roanoke Antique Mall. They had a passion for collecting antiques.
She loved being with her family and was very generous and kindhearted. She loved going shopping and to yard sales, searching for bargains and unusual items. She moved to Villas by Mary T in Casa Grande in December 2010, where she enjoyed playing Pokeno and joining in the community actives. She moved two months ago to The Garnet at Casa Grande and enjoyed her short time there.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Crocombe and Jean Signorelle, and her husband, Warren Balander. Survivors include a brother, Richard Bonsignore of Clayton, N.C.; two daughters, Barbara Terrill of Casa Grande and Audrey Balander of Cortland, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
