ARIZONA CITY - Rosemary M. "Chayo" Flores, 52, of Arizona City died peacefully on June 2, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center after a struggle with cancer.
Ms. Flores was born on March 20, 1964, in Eloy. She was a corrections officer, and her life touched many people in many ways. She provided food and clothing for the needy and helped the homeless.
She was devoted to her family and a Godly woman. A prayer warrior who sought God’s direction daily, she had a contagious smile and laughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Anicia Woodruff of Arizona City; three sons, Jose A. Vidal Jr., Juan L. Chavez Jr. and Anthony Chavez, all of Arizona City; her parents, Juanita and Filomeno Flores Sr. of Eloy; a sister, Rebecca Garcia of Tucson; five brothers, Filomeno Flores Jr. of Eloy, Hector Flores of Arizona City, Lupe Flores of Eloy, Fernando Flores of Casa Grande and Cruz Flores of Stockton, California; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anicia M. Flores.
Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. Friday at Freedom Family Church in Arizona City. The funeral will follow at 8, with the Rev. R.B. Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
