Rosembett Guzman

CASA BLANCA - Rosembett Guzman, 50, known to many as "Rosemberg," died on May 23, 2019.

Mr. Guzman was born in Chiapas, Mexico. He lived the majority of his life in Casa Blanca on the Gila River Indian Community. He formerly worked at G&S Landscaping, but after becoming an amputee, he cleaned yards and worked odd jobs on the community.

He was devoted to his family and spent endless hours with them, making sure they were well cared for. He played sports and wrestled with his son. He helped many families during funeral services and made many friends along the way. His hobbies were casino gambling, singing and listening to Spanish music, and also caring for his animals and plants. He was humble, caring and helpful.

Survivors include his companion of 14 years, Bernella Lewis, and a son, Flaviano Guzman.

Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 31, at the District 5 Multipurpose Center. Funeral at 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, at Vah-Ki Presbyterian Church. Burial in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
