Ross Turner

Ross Edward Turner, 88, of Casa Grande died on July 20, 2013, at Copper Cottage Hospice in Mesa.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ, with Steven Curo and James Pfiffner officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Turner was born on July 31, 1924, in Stigler, Okla., and was a son of Grover D. and Ollie A. Flanary Turner. He attended Casa Grande Union High School and played sports. He was a meat cutter and a big supporter of March of Dimes. He was an active member of the Church of Christ, and his greatest joy was spreading the Gospel. The family formerly owned a store in Casa Grande, Park and Shop.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Blanche M. “Rene”; three daughters, Frances M. Scrivner of San Diego, Lana Wilson of Ramona, Calif., and Dana Curo of Lakeside, Calif.; a son, Ross E. Turner II of Lakeside, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie McFadden and Mildred Johnson, and a brother, Jerry Turner.
