ARIZONA CITY - Ruby B. Ketcham, 95, of Arizona City died on Oct. 29, 2014, at home.
The celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande.
Mrs. Ketcham was born on May 23, 1919, in Ottumwa, Iowa, and was a daughter of Ruben Bennett and Eliza Jane Hall. She served in the Army as a second lieutenant and worked as a nurse. She was a beloved member of First United Methodist Church of Eloy and a former member of Women of the Moose in Arizona City.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and quilting and had a great love of the outdoors. Family was her pride and joy, and she was the epitome of Southern hospitality.
Survivors include three daughters, Jenny L. Williams of Tempe, Benny J. Holt of Bloomington, Indiana, and Rebecca L. Jolly of Arizona City; three sons, John W. Ketcham of Bloomington, Larry F. and Rus Ketcham of Arizona City; a sister, Dorothy Brawley of Union, South Carolina; a brother, Charles A. Bennett of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W.; five brothers; two sisters; and a great-great-grandchild.
